This Console Table was a bit sad and dated looking and calling out for some new life to be breathed back into it. Whilst the look of older furniture might not fit in with a modern home, there’s no denying they are formed of a quality construction and certainly don’t deserve their final journey to be that of one down to the local tip.
This table was transformed by carefully sanding down, then washing and drying off in preparation fo its new look.
We applied 1 coat of shellac based primer, followed by 2 oil undercoats and then 1 oil eggshell Farrow and Ball ‘De Nimes’. Once cured, 3 further coats of clear wax were applied for total protection. As you can see from the pictures, it’s almost unrecognisable but now fits in well to any modern home.
