Recently, I had the pleasure of transforming a beautiful kitchen in Newmarket with a hand-painted finish using Farrow & Ball’s timeless Wimborne White. The project began with a full wash-down of all the units to ensure the surfaces were perfectly clean and ready for painting. From there, I applied a coat of high-quality adhesion primer to create a strong base, followed by two smooth undercoats to build durability and depth of colour. To complete the process, I finished with one coat of oil-based eggshell, giving the cabinetry a flawless, long-lasting sheen.
The result is a light, elegant kitchen that feels both fresh and classic. Wimborne White is a versatile shade that complements any interior style, and its subtle warmth instantly brightened the room. My customer was thrilled with the finish, and it’s always rewarding to see how a carefully executed hand-painted approach can completely refresh a space.
