Vintage furniture often has the most amazing workmanship produced by skilled craftsmen, the like of which we rarely find to day in the mass produced pieces offered to us in the popular high street furniture stores. This workmanship is often hidden under faded, chipped or patchy finishes that time has brought about. We don’t want to get rid of these pieces and this is where a hand painted furniture service can not only extend the life of an item but also extend our love for it.

In this example, we hand painted this classic vintage wardrobe, which was over 120 years old, using the clients preferred choice of Farrow and Ball Plummet Grey Eggshell.

Plummet Grey. This strong architectural grey is named after the lead often used by fishermen to weight their lines. Plummett intensifies in colour in smaller spaces and has a strikingly modern feel which is conducive to minimal living. Used as much on woodwork to define dramatic spaces as it is on walls, Plummett is one of our most hard-edged and industrial feeling greys.
