This project called for a completely new look for this tired old French antique sideboard, belonging to our client in Stapleford Abbotts, Essex.

We started to prepare this piece by sanding down the sideboard and followed that with an application of 1 coat of Zinsser Bin primer. The full transformation was achieved with two oil-based undercoats and a finishing top-coat in navy blue oil-based eggshell. The fine detailing was highlighted by applying two coats of gold solvent gilding paint.

This piece of furniture was a beautiful design but easily overlooked due to its condition. Now, it is a striking piece of furniture that draws attention.

I found Roy through Google when looking for a professional painter to paint my Kitchen Cabinets and Island. I am in East Grinstead West Sussex and Roy is in Essex but that distance was not a challenge or inconvenience for Roy as he booked a Bed and Breakfast venue and was at my place at 07.30am ready to go on day one. Roy is a true professional with years of experience and a really nice chap and we had many a conversation over the 4 days . He is accomodating and he works smart and with zero mess. I would recomend Roy 100% for any painting task but if you need Kitchen Cabinets hand painted then look no further Roy is your man. Roy can be completly trusted and we really enjoyed his company over the 4 days he was painting for us . We shared early morning breakfast and the odd lunch and Roy being the decent chap he is turned up on day 2 with Bread Pudding and day 3 croissants. Enjoyed the whole experience and the kitchen looks great ..
