Sulking Room Pink corner unit

Location: Ingatestone, Essex

We recently hand-painted this charming corner unit for one of our clients in the stunning Farrow and Ball colour Sulking Room Pink. I don’t think the name does the colour justice as It think it’s too uplifting to be in a room where I wanted to sulk – not that I do a lot of sulking. I think the description from Farrow and Ball helps to explain where the name comes from.

Sulking Room Pink. Not to be seen as overtly pink, but rather a muted rose with enormous warmth, its powdery feel makes it incredibly soft and easy to use with complementary tones. Sulking Room Pink is evocative of the colours so often used in boudoirs, a room named after the French “bouder” – to sulk.
